Why is the course conducted in silence?

The course is conducted in complete silence, apart from group discussions and personal discussions with the teachers during designated times.

The silence assists the practitioner to reach a state of a silent and calm awareness, in which inner observation is more easily practiced, just as it is easier to see more clearly into the depth of calm waters.  The experience of many practitioners, points to the advantage of silent practice as a supportive and valuable tool which assists the student to practice in a quite space and obtain the most out of his/her practice.
