מתרגלת, מלמדת ולומדת דהרמה ומדיטציה משנת 1989. מתוכן, ארבע וחצי שנים כנזירה במנזרים בודהיסטים (תרהוודה) בתאילנד. שימי מנחה סדנאות של ויפאסנה ובעשייתה רואה חשיבות להבאת תשומת הלב לחיי היום יום . מחלוצות תחום המיינדפולנס והתאמתו לילדים. מפתחת תוכנית "שפת הקשב" לטיפוח מיומנויות קשב (מיינדפולנס) בילדים ובמערכת החינוך. מתגוררת עם משפחתה במעגן מיכאל. Has practiced vipassana meditation since 1988, including four years as a nun in Thailand. Simi leads seminars and retreats in vipassana meditation in Israel. In her work, she emphasizes bringing awareness to everyday life. Simi is also the founder and coordinator of "The Language of Listening," a program in the Israeli educational system designed to cultivate the skills required to pay attention and listen for children and adults. הולכת בדרך הדהרמה מאז 2007, כמתרגלת ומתנדבת בתפקידים שונים ב'תובנה', בתוכם שירות בצוותי ריטריטים רבים, בעיקר בניהול המטבח. חברת הנהלת העמותה בתפקיד רכזת ההתנדבות בעין-דור. במהלך השנים תרגלתי גם בהודו, וחייתי תקופה ארוכה בבית הסנגהה. כיום אני מתגוררת בפרדס-חנה. דודה לשלושה. אמנית וכותבת, בעלת תואר שני בצילום ואמנות, האקדמיה לאמנות 'בצלאל' והאוניברסיטה העברית. בוגרת לימודי רפואה סינית ושיאצו, ומטפלת בקליניקה פרטית ובמחלקה האונקולוגית בבית-החולים רמב"ם. מבקשת ומוצאת בתרגול מקלט מלא יופי, חכמה...

I have been practicing the Dharma and serving in different roles in Tovana since 2007. Currently working as the coordinator of volunteering in Ein-Dor. Over the years I spent time of practice in India and lived in Tovana’s ‘Sanga House’. A writer and artist, and an aunt of three nephews. I am a Chinese Medicine therapist, working in a private clinic and in the Oncology unit at Rambam hospital. What I seek and find in the Buddha-Dharma path is refuge, filled with beauty, wisdom and gentleness. ...
