With Zohar Lavi, and the help of Reni Ovadia and Shiri Bar.
How can dharma lighten our social and political understanding? How can the dharma lighten our understanding of ourselves as those who are being in interdependence with the sociaty in which we live in? And what happens to us when the reality around us is burning? How do we react to that fire?
In the retreat we use the scilence of meditation practice, and different practices of inquiery and conversation for observing what motivates us for acting for a change. We'll examine what happens to us when our actions encounter a resistence, when we experience frustration, fatigue or anger, We'll experience in different ways in which the practice could fill our social actionsand inquire the way in which activism can be a deep spiritual practice. We'll get close to the source of our inspiration and stregthen our longing to live in a free sociaity.
The retreat is for dharma practitioners and social activists. It's an opprotunity to examine the place in which observation and doing meet and explore together how self improving and world improving are fillinh and strengthening each other. The retreat won't focus on a specific activism field, but we'll use the experience the practitioners will bring with them,
