"Yom Kippur" course in Klil instructed by Stephen Fulder and Simi Levi

Yom Kippur is a time of fasting, wondering and examining ourselves and our lives as reflected in the mirror of awareness. In Yom Kippur courses we focus on the aspect of repentance and returning to our dipper source, and the aspects of forgiveness and compassion. Regarding the dimension of Yom Kippur prayer, we'll be praying for ourselves and for all the living creatures, and while fasting and meditating, we'll feel our hearts resonating with the sorrows of existence as they are.

The course will be held in partial silence,

Yom Kippur fast will be part of the practice and a special attention will be given to him. Those who want to could drink.

We'll eat together the last meal before the fast.

During Yom Kippur, those who want to could go to the synagogue in Klil.

 

The sleeping arrangements will be in tents in the olive grove in Klil or in the shared houses. There won't be enough room for everyone in the shared houses so those who can – please bring tents.

There are several showers and toilets in the area.

There is an option of sleeping in the Zimmers (like B&B) in Klil, not through Tovana, and here is a link for sleeping options in Klil: www.clil.org.il/map.asp

Arrival, registration and setting up will be during 10:00-11:30, the course will end at around 20:00.

In order to maintain and ensuring their success, there is a need for many helping hands, both as kitchen stuff, and mainly for course and kitchen administration.

The volunteers experiencing "service retreat", and it’s a great opportunity to combine giving and meditating and is being a rich practice and a bridge between sitting on the pillow and practicing in day to day life.

Tovana is based and managed mostly by volunteers. During the yearlong around 200 yogis are volunteering aside to 50 activists in permanent roles.

You are welcome to volunteer and practice while doing.
