A Saturday of Vipassana meditation in Tel-Aviv
A Saturday of Vipassana meditation in Tel-Aviv
with Keren Arbel
November 1 2014, 10AM - 5PM
Sangha House, 21 Ovadia Mebartenura st., apt. 15, Tel-Aviv, Israel
Description
You are welcome for a day of practicing together the art of presence as taught by the Buddha - full and direct presence as it is, in this very moment. A bright ungrasping presence.
During the day we'll be practicing mindfulness in sitting, standing and walking.
We will learn how to be present with everything we meet - inside and outside - with attention, curiousity and equanimity. How to get to know and befriend whatever comes to our awareness and senses without following our unhelpful patterns.
Description
The day is suitable for those with and without experience.
The day is held mostly in silence, and will include guidance about meditation, practicing meditation, a talk and time for Q&A.
Comfortable loose clothes recommended.
Participants must stay from the beginning to the end.
Please arrive 15 minutes in advance so we could start on time.
What to bring
A shawl/blanket.
A vegetarian meal, to share our lunch.
Easy-to-remove shoes (eg. flip-flops)
A means of payment (cash, credit card, cheque) for donation.
