Yom Kippur weekend retreat in Clil for experienced practitioners, with Stephen Fulder and Eran Harpaz
The course is open to practitioners who have participated in at least 2 week-long vipassana courses, or four weekends.
Yom Kippur is a time of fasting and introspection on ourselves and our lives as reflected in the mirror of awareness. During the Yom Kippur course we will emphasize the aspect of returning to our deeper inner resources, as well as aspects of forgiveness and compassion.
This year we will also focus particularly on the aspect of silence, as expressed in the powerful myth of Jonah: in the dark stomach of the whale we die and are reborn with a renewed sense of our purpose in the world.
The course will emphasize practicing forgiveness and new beginnings. This is an opportunity to cleanse the past in order to embrace the future with increased clarity and freedom.
Accommodation will be in tents in the olive grove in Clil or in shared homes. There will not be enough room to host everyone in the shared homes, therefore please bring a tent if you can.
Accommodation is possible in guest houses in Clil (not through Tovana). Information on this option will be sent upon registration.
The Yom Kippur fast will be part of the practice and will be given specific attention. Whoever wishes will be able to drink.
We will gather for a final meal before the fast and we will end the fast with a meal as well.
During Yom Kippur, participants will be able to participate in the synagogue in Clil (walking distance).
Arrival at Clil is between 15:00 -16:30 for registration.
