Yom Kippur weekend retreat with Christopher Titmuss, Odelia Weinberg and Sandhya Bar-Kama
The weekend serves as a full introduction to mindfulnes, insight meditation (vipassana) and the Buddha's teachings on love, kindness and liberation.
In the 24 hours of Yom Kippur, we will devote the day for reflection/meditation on the past, to acknowledge mistakes and unwise actions and see what steps we need to take for change, for reconciliation. The teachings/inquiry/reflections/ loving kindness meditations will fully support the deep significance of Yom Kippur for both religious and non-religious.
As with the longer retreats, we have a full programme exploring mindfulnes and meditation in the sitting, walking, standing and reclining postures. The teachers will meet with practitioners in small groups to answer questions and check individual's practice.
The weekend retreat is especially suitable for new meditators and those who have participated in retreats previously for renewal and further insight. It will be held largely in silence.
