An evening in the series "In-Depth Dharma": Practicing Metta and Karuna in the Buddhist Tradition
Number 5
Topic: Practicing Metta and Karuna in the Buddhist Tradition
Led by Assaf Sati El-Bar, a practitioner for 15 years in the vipassana and Tibetan Buddhist traditions. I spent extended periods of practice in Thailand, India and Nepal. As a father of two, I strive towards incorporating meaningful practice in daily life. I aim to combine my practice, study and teaching of the dharma in various frameworks. I teach philosophy in High School, practice and serve in Tovana and am writing a PhD that offers a contemporary educational perspective based on the Buddhist path.
“In-depth dharma” is a series of dharma evenings that takes place about once a month.
In the meetings different aspects of the dharma practice are present by various speakers who each express their unique voice. The meetings are open to practitioners as well as those completely new to the practice.
Each meeting includes a shared meditation, a talk and time for questions and answers.
The meetings are offered on a dana basis.
There is no need to register.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the meeting so we can start on time.
The meetings are held in Hebrew.
