Non duality retreat with Stephen Fulder
Normally we define meditation and Buddhist practice in terms of purification, removing and letting go of patterns, habits, difficulties, issues and pains that limit us and cause our suffering. This is based on the first two of the Four Noble Truths, namely the Truth of unsatisfactoriness within our experience and the Truth of the clinging that causes it. But what would practice be like from the point of view of the Third Noble Truth, the Truth of Liberation?
In this retreat we will take that point of view, parachuting down to the top of the mountain rather than climbing up from the bottom. It is a point of view of perfection, in which there is nothing to be fixed or changed or achieved. The retreat will be loosely structured, emphasising natural awareness, being and presence rather than practice for any goal. This kind of awareness helps to close the gap between us and the world, the observer and the observed, from which the term 'non-duality' is derived.
There will be teachings and instructions from the suttas, as well as from Tibetan Dzogchen and Indian Advaita.
The retreat is open for people with previous experience in meditation.
