Extended weekend retreat on Mindfulness with Michal Cohen
Mindfulness is one of the most powerful aspects of insight meditation. Mindfulness training teaches us how to observe and listen to life (ourselves, others, social phenomena and more) in a non-judgmental and compassionate way. When we are attentive in this way we discover a whole world of patterns, sensations, thoughts and feelings. All these are revealed to us from moment to moment – appear, stay for a bit and fade away. The practice of mindfulness allows us to "identify what is", stay and allow, and in this way choose a wise and beneficial mode for operation and change.
During this weekend we shall practice Insight meditation and will familiarize ourselves with its theoretical background. In the study and practice we will put an emphasis on cultivating mindfulness: non-judgmental awareness to whatever is happening from moment to moment.
The retreat is open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
