Yom Kippur retreat in Hanaton with Eran Harpaz and Rabbi James Maisels
When the Buddha and Moses are in silence together - Yom Kippur weekend - Meditation retreat with Rabbi James Maisels and Eran Harpaz
The retreat will take place in The Kibbutz Hanaton seminar center and will provide relativelly higher living conditions than in Ein Dor.
Yom Kippur in a special day. Many of us feel the great intensity of stopping and fasting by so many people around us, and yet at the same time many of us who do not connect to the language of formal religion do not know what to do on or with this day.
This retreat, which will take place in silence, will be dedicated to meditation practice and silent mindfulness, as well as study and contemplation on such topics as: soul searching, forgiveness and atonement, stopping, simplicity and reduction (tzimtzum) in jewish-buddhists view.
Whoever wishes to fast may do so as well as participate in services at the synagauge of the reform community in Hanaton.
