Summer retreat with Stephen Fulder, Yonatan Dominitz and Simi Levi

25/08/2011 to 31/08/2011
Event category:
Start time: Thursday 00:00
End time: Wednesday 23:59

Vipassana meditation is a practice which originates in the Buddhist traditon and is a part of a spiritual path aimed at awakening and liberation.

Awakening to the present moment allows understanding and acceptance of our true nature and of the nature of the world around us. This practice guides us to an inner listening which opens the heart, deepens understanding and allows consciousness to become clear and open to the wisdom and compassion in every one of us, leading us to inner freedom.

Whether you have experience in insight (vipassana) meditation or simply want to begin, this course is an opportunity to dedicate full attention and energy to the practice in optimal conditions.

Most of the day is dedicated to sitting and walking meditation, alternately, in set time periods. Every day detailed instructions are given regarding the meditation technique, and in the evening a talk will be given by one of the teachers, dealing with the principals of meditation and their relevance to our personal everyday lives.

During the retreat there will be group discussions with the teachers in which we will have the opportunity to share and explore our experiences. Personal interviews with the teachers will be possible as well.

Registration will start here one month prior to the beginning of the retreat.
