Sangha

The meaning of the word Sangha is community. A community of people walking together on the way. The Buddha spoke of the "triple gem" that all who follow the spiritual path, the Dharma, need. One of them, on which the Buddha said that it is the most precious is the Sangha, the community that shares the practice and way of life of observation, inquiry, listening to the heart and freedom. In the past, the community was an inseparable part of the practice, whether it was a community of monks and nuns living together or a community of residents living around the monastery. Nowadays, when the community is no longer self-evident, connecting to a community of people with similar values is immensely valuable.
