"Going against the stream"
An evening of "depth dharma on "renunciation
with Mulli Glazer
Wednesday 23/7/14 1930-2200
Meishar, 86 Shahaf St.

The Buddhist tradition addresses the way to liberation as "going against the stream"- the stream of social conventions, habits and conditioning.
We are required to give up the reliance on what is passing, everything we believed to date to be the source of our happiness, in order to actualize a promise of a deep, stable and unconditioned happiness.
When we hear the term "renunciation" our heart does not leap with joy. Why should we turn to the opposite direction? How would that help us to be free and happy?
And if we are convinced that this might pay off-how do we do it? Do we say "no" to the very things we desire?
The evening will include mediation practice, talk and time for shared inquiry.
Please arrive 15 minutes before we start so we can start calmly on time.
