Anatta: meeting the self and losing the self

"Owning nothing. Grasping nothing. This is the island in the stormy seas", (The Buddha).

Usually we see ourselves in a shifting unreliable world to which we respond with our needs, desires, aversions, conflicts, craving, and attachments. But the source of the problem is a belief that there is a me, a subject, and a separate world out there against which I struggle. Anatta is the realization that the me is actually dynamic and transparent. We can see through the self in the present moment which is spontaneous, quiet, and not owned by anyone.

In this retreat we will explore the dimensions of 'becoming' (bhava) someone and undoing that tendency, through meditation, reflection, small groups, dialogue and talks from the teacher.

התנדבות בקורס

לשם קיום הקורסים והצלחתם, יש צורך בהרבה ידיים עוזרות, הן כאנשי צוות מטבח ובעיקר לתפקידי ניהול הקורסים והמטבח. המתנדבים בקורס חווים "ריטריט שרות" זאת הזדמנות לשלב נתינה ותרגול מדיטציה ומהווה תרגול עשיר וגשר בין היושבים על הכרית לתרגול ביום - יום.
עמותת תובנה מתבססת ומתנהלת ברובה על מתנדבים. במהלך השנה מתנדבים בקורסים השונים בעין דור כ- 200 מתרגלים, וזאת בנוסף לכ - 50 פעילים בתפקידים קבועים.
