Weekend for yogis with prior experience on the subject of Equanimity with Stephen Fulder
Equanimity: Trusting things to be the way they are
With Stephen Fulder
Will be held at: Ein-Dor
Equanimity is trust, insight and non-attachment all together.
In order to trust the world as it is, we have to be less occupied with ourselves, not to protect ourselves with a shield, and become involved, open, free and light. We have to be sensitive and vulnerable without ever braking and ready to accept everything that happens to us along the way. That’s what the Buddha meant in his last words before his death: "Be an island unto yourself". It means to surf the waves of change, not to run from them and not to withdraw inside what seems to us as a safe haven.
Equanimity is not indifference and sometimes we tend to confuse the two. Equanimity is getting wet by the waves while we ride them, and indifference means closing ourselves in an air conditioned room in a hotel which is located near the place of occurrence.
In this short course we'll investigate the subject through mindfulness exercises, guided meditation that is directed to the development of steadinness, Dhamma talks and discussions.
