'Insight meditation' is a practice originating in the Buddhist tradition, which is intended to enable us to understand and experience daily life deeply and coherently. The premise of "insight meditation" is that observation and clear vision (Vipassana) of reality may lead to relief of daily difficulty and pain and improve the quality of life of practitioners and those around them.

'Insight meditation' highlights the mental and emotional skills of the practitioner, and develops his ability to stop and look at himself and every situation in which it is without judging, with minimum influence of prejudices, fears and habits. 'Insight meditation' aims to increase the practitioner's awareness and connection to the world in which he lives in. This meditation is based on the 'Dharma', Buddhist philosophy that offers a way of life that includes mental, moral and emotional development. The 'Dharma' enables intuitive human wisdom which not only includes knowledge. It contributes to the development of an inter-personal connection that is non-self-serving, and of qualities of generosity, love and compassion that exists in each and every one of us, even if we are not always aware of them.

For the holding of courses and their success, helping hands are much needed, both as members of the kitchen staff and particularly for management courses and kitchen. Volunteers experience a "Service Retreat" that is an opportunity to combine giving and meditation practice and is a bridge between sitting on the pillow and daily practice. Tovana Foundation is based and run largely by volunteers. During the year, about 200 practitioners volunteer in various courses in Ein Dor, in addition to around 50 volenteers in permanant duties. You are invited to volunteer and practice by doing.
